Windfall *Pg* was approved as a Verband premium stallion in Germany in 1994 and as a 4yr old, was placed in training with Olympian Ingrid Klimke. By the age of 8, he had won in all disciplines at German M level, won the Bundeschampionat in Eventing, and every CIC** and CIC*** held in Germany in one year. He also managed to be nominated to the Olympic squat for Sydney 2000, only Ingrid's other horse Sleep Late xx had more expertise and mileage under his belt. in late 2000, Windfall was sold to Timothy and Cheryl Holekamp and in 2001, began his North American career with Darren Chiacchia in the saddle.
That career is still ongoing in 2007 and resulted in many exceptional performance highlights, including the title of NOrth American Eventing Champion, Pan Am Games individual Gold medalist, winner of the modified Rolex Kentucky CCI**** and Olympic Team bronze medalist in Athens 2004. Windfall was the World's leading eventing stallion (WBFSH rankings) and while still strong and doing well, is now beginning to prove that he also has the potential to sire true champions. From his very few German foals, Waldwind and Karambeau M compete internationally in eventing, and Karisma is a 4th level dressage horse (and Verband premium mare!). Windefall's daughter Karamica Picola M, already conceived from frozen after he had left Germany, just won the Youngster Eventing Championships at the International Trakehner Bundesturnier in Hanover in 2007. In the US, Windfall's foals and young riding horse offspring continue to sell at excellent prices and with Hano, he sired the 2006 North American Young Horse Eventing Champion! To us, Windfall *Pg* is the perfect example of a Trakehner stallion - able in all disciplines, highly rideable and very sound, and with the beauty and generation old pedigree that make him stand out wherever he appears!
At Fairwind Farm, Windfall *Pg* sired the bay colt Fairwind in 2005.
