Trakehner mare family of O451 Ilonka (Bongardt-Gr.Buchwald)

Illux is a German import to North America.. He was approved at the Neumünster Stallion Market in 2003 and sold at auction to Luxe Sporthorses in British Columbia. He remained in Germany for his 30 day test and his first breeding season, where he stood at the world famous Gestüt Hörstein. He travelled to Canada later in 2005 and has since then done extremely well as a hunter, even though he might just as well be a good show jumper.

Illux' sire is the popular German elite stallion and international dressage stallion Latimer. His approved sons include the reserve champion Hibiskus, Immenhof, Finckenstein, Karolinger I and Karolinger II. Especially Karolinger I has already left quite a positive impression as a dressage stallion and was the auction highlight in Medingen in 2005 with a knock down price of €250,000. Latimer's sire Saint Cloud was one of Germany's most promising younger Grand Prix dressage stallions and came from a very successful dam line of international sport horses. The combination of Saint Cloud and Larissa XXI also produced the approved premium stallion Liebestraum, a Bundeschampionat finalist. Latimer, before his upper level dressage career, was Germany's National Riding Horse Champion in 2000.

On the dam side, one of the breed's more versatile and proven dam lines appears. Dam sire Giorgio Armani also had an FEI career in dressage, and both Ixia and Irena sired sport horses in Germany, e.g. the Level 5 show jumper Ilchino (out of Irena). Out of very close maternal relation, we also find the stallions Immenhof, I-Punkt (premium), Insterburg TSF (FEI dressage) and Ibsen (Grand Prix, ATA), and a number of FEI performance horses in Europe.

At Fairwind Farm, Illux sired the filly Fancey Fair in 2007.
